Caring for her community and ensuring that those who are in need are helped is what keeps Kutlwano Mogorosi going.
The young lady born and bred in Hertzogville is the brains behind the Kgothalang Help-A-Hand, a non-profit organization that has been reaching out to the less fortunate children in Hertzgoville and nearby areas.
They help children with food hampers and school uniforms, and host Christmas parties for children in December. The NGO is located in Malebogo, Hertzogville.
The NGO is involved in different programmes such as education, child protection, food, and clothes. The founder of the organization Kutlwano Mogorosi said through their organization, children are able to go to school clean, fed, and confident like other children.
“We also intervene sometimes when parents are neglecting their children, we work with Social Workers and the police.” Said Mogorosi.
According to Mogorosi, they often ask for donations from their community but they are seeking funding that will enable them to do bigger things and help even more people in their community.
“We love what we are doing because it’s all about giving back to the community and making sure that children are protected. It makes us realise that there are situations that affect us as people that we never talk about.” Mogorosi added.
