The excitement is building as the 5th Annual Central Music Awards approaches! This year, Free State and Central South Africa's talent will receive the appreciation, honor, and recognition they deserve. Artists from North West, Free State, Northern Cape, Vaal, and Lesotho are preparing to converge in the City of Roses for a night that promises to be unforgettable.
In response to the growing interest in the awards, this year's event will take place at a larger venue, accommodating the anticipated influx of attendees. Since the awards began, they have experienced tremendous growth, propelling many artists' careers to new heights with the accolade of "award-winning" added to their names.
Notable artists such as Ntate Stunna, Khadeair, Star Kruss, and Ziddo have previously received awards and have continued to excel in their careers since their wins. The awards encourage artists to actively gather votes, amplifying their visibility and influence.
The Central Music Awards celebrate artists across a wide expanse, including Free State, Lesotho, Vaal, North West, and Northern Cape, highlighting the incredible talent found in the entire central region.
Lehlohonolo Mokoena, the Chairman and Co-founder of the Central Music Awards, shared his enthusiasm about this year's event. Moving to Old Grey's reflects the awards' growth and the expected larger turnout.
“Everything is in place. We are collaborating with Lesedi FM, Free State World, and several private companies to enhance our outreach. Get your general and VIP tickets now; this ceremony is a must-attend,” Mokoena encouraged.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with influential individuals from the industry. The Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, and Culture, Zanele Sifuba, will also be present, just like last year.
Mokoena urged everyone to secure their general tickets and consider reserving a table for ten if they wish. “Come dressed to impress and mingle with the elite of the Central region,” he recommended.
Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Central Music Awards, scheduled for November 28, 2026, at Old Grey's in Bloemfontein. Tickets are priced at R100, with R150 entry available at the door.
