Free State Stars Youth Academy Launches Grassroots Football Scouting Clinic Across 14 Municipalities
Talent scouts scour Phuthaditjhaba, Bethlehem, and Kroonstad to unearth the next generation of PSL football stars.
BETHLEHEM — Hundreds of young footballers converged on Goble Park Stadium this morning as the Free State Stars Football Development Academy commenced its provincial talent identification campaign.
Covering under-15, under-17, and under-19 divisions across 14 Free State local municipalities, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between rural community sports clubs and professional football league structures.
"Our province has produced some of the greatest legends to ever grace South African football," said the Academy Technical Director. "Talent is everywhere in our townships and rural schools; what we are providing is the scientific coaching, nutritional guidance, and academic support to turn that talent into professional reality."
