Heilbron born but currently Kroonstad’s very own Dr Maesala Manis, was welcomed to the famed Mrs South Africa powered by iME as a semi-finalist.
More than just a pageant, Mrs South Africa’s main purpose is to equip women with hands-on leadership and communication skills. Through public speaking workshops, brand-building sessions, and mentorship, participants discover their inner confidence, amplifying their voices as forces for positive change.
The big draw for Dr Manis is the pageant’s promise of genuine empowerment, personal transformation, and the ability to make a lasting impact. As such she intends to give back to her community through the lessons that she will learn. She plans to this by ensuring that learners with intellectual and learning challenges are understood and their mental health, as well as that of the people around them, is taken into account and they are adequately supported.

Later in the year, contestants will participate in a number of charity events, upskilling sessions, professional shoots, and more, culminating in the grand finale in November.
