Flexbrand Knights sealed their promotion to Division One after dominating Eastern Storm in the rain-affected CSA 4-Day Series final at Mangaung Oval. The match was declared a draw due to persistent wet conditions.
Eastern Storm posted 277 all out, with Dewald Marais scoring an unbeaten 65. The Knights responded strongly with 479/8, powered by Gihahn Cloete’s career-best 210 and Patrick Botha’s 96.
Malusi Siboto (4/54) and captain Dane Piedt (3/82) led the bowling attack, while Tumelo Simelane (4/91) impressed for Easterns. With five wins and a draw, the Knights finished the series on 30 points to secure promotion for the 2026/27 season.
They now turn their focus to the CSA One Day Cup clash against Limpopo Impalas on 22 February in Polokwane.
