The South African Arts and Culture Youth Forum (SAACYF) Free State proudly hosted the 2nd Annual Free State Arts Alive Festival in partnership with Mmabana Arts and Culture Centre in Thaba Nchu recently. The festival showcased the talents of artists from across the Free State Province, promoting unity and cultural heritage.
90% of featured artists were from the Free State Province, and the festival had a significant impact on the local business community in Thaba Nchu. SAACYF aims to engage with the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation to secure support and funding for future festivals.
“We’re proud to play a role in inspiring many people through this festival. Next year, we plan to host it in all districts and local municipalities across the Free State, promoting our rich cultural heritage and creativity. We invite businesses to support this initiative and look forward to meeting with the Department to secure funding and inclusion in the MEC’s budget vote.” said Lekgutsa Mbele, SAACYF National Organizer & Free State Provincial Chairperson.
