Qwaqwa is not only known for its scenic mountains and natural beauty, but also for its artistic talent.
Boitumelo Foka, from Seotlong in Bluemgumbosch, Qwaqwa, secured his first TV cameo role on the Outlaws Season 2, currently airing on Showmax and Mzansi Magic.
He is adding his name to Free State talent that have secured cameos and full roles on the show, including Katleho Mabote, Riaano Jonathan, and Jackie Moshane, to mention just a few.
The Outlaw cameo role is Foka’s debut TV role. Growing up, acting was never something Foka imagined pursuing, not due to a lack of passion for entertainment, but because his community had limited access to theatres, art centers, or acting classes.

Everything began to change when Foka was admitted to the Central University of Technology (CUT). In his first year, he encountered someone who introduced him to acting through a YouTube platform, igniting his genuine love for performance and storytelling.
“In my second year, I was fortunate to meet Bonolo Klaas, the producer behind BC Klaas Animation on TikTok. He offered me an opportunity to work as a voice-over artist, recognizing the value of my voice at a time when I felt unheard. That experience built my confidence and helped me believe in my talent,” he explained.

Encouraged by Thabang Nkotoane, the Qwaqwa actor decided to audition professionally. After taking that leap of faith, he auditioned for Season 2 of the Outlaw and succeeded.
“This achievement is not only personal—it also serves as my contribution to raising the profile of QwaQwa and showing that talent can emerge from places often overlooked. My journey proves that purpose, persistence, and community support can open doors, even when the odds seem stacked against you,” he said.
