Ladybrand artists Don Gawdy, Landon Deejay, and LL’Vicci have dropped a fresh single titled “Makeishene,” which celebrates the vibrancy, energy, and unity of township life. This track showcases a new sound emerging from the streets of Ladybrand in the Free State, blending Amapiano’s infectious grooves with the raw spirit of the township.
“Makeishene” draws inspiration from authentic township experiences, capturing moments like taxi rides, street chants, children playing, and the daily hustle that fuels creativity in Ladybrand.

The trio aimed to produce a song that not only gets people dancing but also reflects their roots and heritage.
In discussing the release, Don Gawdy expressed, “Makeishene is a piece of home, the culture, and everything that raised us. We wanted to give the world the Ladybrand feeling.”
The song’s visualiser has already been made available online, and the growing support from fans has fueled the artists’ motivation to work even harder. “Makeishene” highlights a new wave of talent from Ladybrand, breaking into the mainstream and making waves in the music scene.
