Nineteen-year-old footballer Lucian Barnes from Ladybrand, Free State, is on the lookout for a professional soccer team to sign him. A graduate of the Stars of Africa Football Academy in Johannesburg, Lucian has dedicated his youth to honing his skills in the sport since he began playing at the age of 16.
As a talented winger, he is eager to join a club, with a particular wish to don the colors of Siwelele FC. Lucian’s love for soccer blossomed at a young age while playing with his older brother, where he developed a passion for the game and a desire to kick a ball whenever possible.

“My dream is to play for Manchester United one day. However, I’d love to represent a team in the South African Premier Soccer League, especially Siwelele FC, or even Marumo Gallants, despite growing up as an Orlando Pirates supporter,” Lucian shared.
Lucian emphasized his enthusiasm for Siwelele FC, seeing it as an opportunity to proudly represent his hometown of Ladybrand, Bloemfontein, and the entire Free State. “I want to show that Free State has talent and can be represented with pride,” he added.

He is open to any opportunity that arises with professional soccer teams and is not dismissing the idea of starting in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) to work his way up.
For teams interested in giving Lucian a chance, he can be contacted at 073 786 9111.
