Entrepreneurs play a mammoth role in the society, and it is also the responsibility of the society to support and buy from them to help them grow.
But other entrepreneurs do not deliver on their promises and keep their word. Patrick Moloko, the owner of Karlogne car fragrances based in Bloemfontein who has an office near Mimosa Mall has failed to deliver on his promises even though he was paid in full.
Moloko was approached for a rebranding deal of his Karlogne products which he agreed to, and sent an invoice as requested and the quoated money was paid into his Capitec bank account in February.
He was supposed to have delivered the products bought from him but said the labeling on the packaging wasn’t clear and was told to proceed with it as it would be fixed on the next order.
He then promised to deliver the products but failed to. He was called but ignored the buyer even though he was sent Facebook inbox messages which he did see.
On 23 February, Moloko apologized and told the buyer that he encountered a couple of challenges with his smartphone and was given another chance to deliver which he promised to do by 1 March, and asked for an extension to deliver on Wednesday 5 March but once again failed.
The livid buyer canceled the order and wanted his money back and sent his banking details to Moloko to pay him back but Moloko ignored him and didn’t reply to his WhatsApp messages even though he read them and was also online on Facebook.
Free State World sent questions to Moloko to answer and tell his side of the story and was given a deadline of 09:00 on Monday 11 March but didn’t use the right of reply afforded him.
Free State World reminded Moloko on 10 March about his right of reply we were affording him but he still didn’t make use of the opportunity.
According to the buyer, he didn’t want to involve the media and wanted to solve the saga amicably and alerted Moloko but he failed to solve things amicably and decided to remain mum and ignore the request to pay back the money.
