Hailing from Welkom in the Free State, Mary Ngebulana is dedicated to changing lives and bringing smiles to those less fortunate.
As a finalist for the Face of Plus Size Free State, Mary proudly represents her town of Welkom. Through her journey in the pageant, she has learned that beauty is not defined by body shapes or sizes. She emphasizes that plus-size women should embrace their bodies without shame and recognize their worth, beauty, and royal status.
Recently, Mary hosted a charity event where she prepared lunch for college students, embodying her commitment to giving back to the community.
“What pushed me to do this initiative was hearing the sad stories of some of these students. Many stay alone without anyone to assist them with cooking, cleaning, or caring for themselves. They often walk long distances to get to college, sometimes on empty stomachs,” she explained.
Mary added, “I wanted to create something that would make them feel loved and appreciated. That’s why I decided to prepare lunch and pack them dinner for that evening, so they wouldn’t have to worry about cooking when they got home.”
Her efforts are a testament to her belief in the power of kindness and community support.
