Nineteen-year-old Rethabile Ntsala is determined to make her mark in the world of pageantry, aiming to leave a lasting legacy for decades to come. Hailing from Kroonstad in the Free State, Rethabile is currently a finalist in the Miss Teenager South Africa pageant, proudly representing her province.

Born in Kroonstad, Rethabile moved to Bloemfontein for kindergarten. She began her education at Roseview Primary School and attended Navalsig High School until Grade 9. In 2022, she relocated to Welkom, where she graduated from Unitas High School.

“Growing up, I didn’t envision myself pursuing traditional careers like medicine. I’ve always aspired to be a businesswoman or a commercial model. My passion for commercial modeling took a significant turn in 2020 when Shudufhadzo Musida was crowned Miss SA. From that moment, I never looked back, even though I initially lacked the confidence to enter any pageant. I often told myself, ‘One day,’” Rethabile explained.

In January 2025, Rethabile took a leap of faith and entered the Miss Teenager South Africa pageant. This decision was inspired by the tragic loss of her beloved Aunt Rachel Masharole, whose passing left a significant void in her life but also fueled her determination to succeed.

Rethabile has now become a semi-finalist in the Miss Teenager South Africa pageant, an achievement she dedicates to her supporters. In addition to her pageantry pursuits, Rethabile founded “Rachel Kindness in Action,” a non-profit organization that advocates for youth empowerment, mental health, disability awareness, and body positivity. The organization is named in honor of her late aunt.

“I firmly believe in the potential of our youth. My research shows that Gen Z craves validation and love. I aim to inspire and empower the next generation, serving as a beacon of change and a safe haven for our youth and community,” Rethabile stated.

Rethabile is currently seeking funds to meet some of the pageant’s obligations. She can be contacted at 063 499 4494.
