The founders of Pems and Miss Great Banquet, Boitumelo Lehola and Ntsane Nkotseng, from Thabong in Welkom, Free State, made the elderly feel like royalty.

On Mandela Day, elderly women received massages, foot spa treatments, nail trimming, aerobics, and more, all aimed at honouring and celebrating their contributions.

Boitumelo Lehola, a mobile massage therapist, felt compelled to pamper the elderly women in her community to recognize their role in shaping the women they have become.

She expressed, “I love spending time with the elderly. Seeing them being pampered made my day. The event was a huge success; everybody was so happy. I didn’t think I could pull this off, but Clicks Welkom Square and OK Food Manny’s helped a lot with their sponsorships. I’m also grateful to Aus Queen, who mentored me and ensured that SAPS was involved. It was a beautiful day and a success. Ntsane Nkotseng believed in the idea and jumped in. I’m so thankful to her for her support.” The elderly women were ecstatic, enjoying the pampering and feeling truly special.
