Paseka Gaene has chosen a different path—one of service, compassion, and purpose. Gaene is the founder of the Gaene Foundation, a non-profit organisation built not on wealth, but on a deep commitment to humanity. Together with co-founders Mvula Matthews and Peggy Gaene, he leads a team united by a shared vision of uplifting vulnerable communities.
Since its establishment in 2021, the foundation has been quietly transforming lives through meaningful, hands-on outreach.
What began with the donation of 330 sanitary towels to young girls in need has since grown into a powerful movement of hope. The foundation has supported elderly residents with fresh vegetables and basic healthcare essentials, restored dignity among school boys through the donation of toiletries, and provided groceries to individuals living with disabilities.
Beyond meeting immediate needs, the foundation has also played a role in restoring identity and access. At the Jean Webber Home for persons with severe disabilities, the team assisted residents in obtaining Smart ID documents—opening doors to opportunities many had long been denied.
In the spirit of Mandela Day, Gaene and his team extended their reach to the homeless, distributing sleeping bags to provide warmth during cold winter nights. Their compassion continued at Tswellang Special School, where learners received custom beanies—simple yet meaningful gifts that fostered a sense of pride and belonging.
In their most recent outreach, the foundation donated essential kitchen utensils to elderly residents at Boikhuco Old Age Centre, helping to make everyday living more comfortable and dignified.
The foundation relies on the goodwill of community members who contribute what they can. Despite limited resources, the impact of their work continues to grow—changing lives one act of kindness at a time.
