Manghwevu is on a mission to establish himself among the musical greats, continually showcasing his remarkable talent. Based in Bloemfontein, Free State, he wears many hats as an independent music producer, entrepreneur, deejay, and keyboardist.
His unique sound blends soulful Amapiano with deep house elements, often incorporating live instruments into his productions and deejaying sets, which feature musicians including keyboardists, lead guitarists, vocalists, and percussionists. With over a decade of musical experience, Manghwevu has made his mark, performing across African countries like Swaziland, Botswana, and Lesotho alongside various artists.
Real name Tumi Nkopane, Manghwevu has just released his first set of Amapiano singles, collaborating with talents like Latoya Mokoena, Tebogo Phoshoko (also known as Don Vittano), and Neo Litabe (Que Cloud).
Despite the allure of leaving Bloemfontein for larger markets, Manghwevu remains dedicated to his home city. He believes there’s immense local talent and opportunity, urging Free State creatives to collaborate and seek support from local government and business entities.
He has also graced the stage at significant events like the Macufe Boxing and Main festival.
