Bloemfontein bodybuilder Lerotholi Molukanele has made Bloemfontein and the Free State proud by representing the province admirably at the United Intercontinental Bodybuilding Fitness Federation’s (UIBFF) Iron Games held in Germiston, Gauteng.
The Iron Games took place on Saturday, 30 May. Lerotholi competed in four categories: Bodybuilding Open Line-up, Bodybuilding U70kg, Classic Bodybuilding, and Men’s Physique.
He achieved remarkable success, securing three first-place positions and one third-place position. Lerotholi won first in the Bodybuilding U70kg, Classic Bodybuilding, and Men’s Physique categories, while he placed third in the Bodybuilding Open line-up category.
Lerotholi shared that his preparation for the Iron Games was challenging, especially since he is currently unemployed and relying on sponsorship to compete. Despite these obstacles, he managed to attend the games thanks to generous donations from supportive individuals in the community.
“My preparation had some challenges as it’s tough to get ready for a bodybuilding show while you’re unemployed and without sponsors. I hope that one day a good Samaritan will come forward to support me,” he expressed.
He extended his gratitude to those who financially contributed and donated to help him represent the Free State with pride in Germiston.
“Thank you to everyone who helped me make this mission possible,” he said.
