Thato Nsele, commonly known as Afua Nubiana, is a jazz musician whose primary instrument is guitar. Hailing from Bethlehem in the Eastern Free State, she is aiming to receive international recognition.
Thato taught herself how to play guitar on YouTube, and then decided to go to Central Johannesburg College of Arts to study music performance in the years 2020-2021.
She has recently been accepted at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, a private music college in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It is the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world, which has birthed prominent musicians like Esperanza Spalding, Quincy Jones, and John Mayer among others.
However, Thato needs to pay a deposit of $1000 ,which is R17 554, to be officially accepted at the college. She is enquiring for help of amount for her dreams to come true.
