The inaugural Thaba Nchu Flea Market took place recently, organized by events coordinator and entrepreneur Kelly Seameco-Madikgetla to support local businesses. This market aimed to address the challenges many local entrepreneurs face, particularly in accessing platforms to sell their products.
Seameco-Madikgetla highlighted that many entrepreneurs struggle with visibility and market access. The flea market was designed to provide them with a valuable opportunity to showcase their offerings, connect directly with clients, and benefit from free advertising and exposure.
Hosted at Oh-La Lah in Thaba Nchu, the event allowed entrepreneurs to sell a variety of products, including perfumes, decorating services, and skincare items. This direct interaction with potential customers was a key focus of the market.
“We want to foster the growth of our local entrepreneurs and their businesses. Continuing the flea market will create ongoing opportunities for them to learn from each other and enhance their marketing strategies,” Seameco-Madikgetla stated.
