The 2025 Miss Happiness pageant took place on Saturday, October 4, at the Mmabana Cultural Centre, featuring an exciting lineup that included three categories: Little Miss Happiness, Pre-teen Miss Happiness, and Miss Happiness. Participants hailed from various regions, including Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo, and Tweespruit.
Organizer Mathapelo Mahloko launched the event with a unique vision to spread joy through pageantry. Having experienced the heartbreak of many contestants who did not win in traditional pageants, she aimed to create an event where everyone could shine. By introducing multiple subcategories, she ensured that all participants had the opportunity to highlight their strengths and feel celebrated.
“I want every participant to feel like a winner, a queen, even though they may not walk away with the main title, but winning a sub-category will bring joy,” Mathapelo shared.

The event also featured a fashion show, showcasing local designers and their creative works, providing a platform for promoting and marketing their fashion lines. Adding to the entertainment, Selosesha hip hop artist Blade Yo-highness lit up the stage with his hit song, entertaining the audience with his talent.
As the contestants confidently walked the runway, they impressed the panel of three judges. The atmosphere was lively, with the audience clapping and cheering as each participant was called to the stage to receive their prizes and certificates, truly embodying the spirit of celebration and happiness throughout the event.
