Rising Botshabelo star Seneath Mothai’s hard work is starting to bear fruit. He is part of the producers of the hit “Sthandwa Saam” song, which took South Africa by storm in 2024.
Together with his Botswana friend Calibur, they won the Ya Rona FM, a Botswana radio station Best Dance single award earlier this year. They won the award after they were featured by Ati, Botswana’s biggest artist, for whom they produced the hit “Kwashiokor”.
Seneath has now released a brand new sizzling single titled “Side to Side”. The single features heavyweights in the SA music industry, such as 2Point1, Nomakhosini, Issa Sisidoh, and Trademark DJZ. The single is a title song for his soon-to-be-released EP “Side to Side”.
Seneath’s song has already amassed 60,000 listening streams across the world. Seneath is over the moon about the release of his new single, as he is part of a group of artists trying to establish a genuine Free State sound called Free Strata.
In South Africa, most provinces have their unique sound. In KZN, there is Qqom and Maskandi, Lekompo in Limpopo, Motswako in the North West, and the Free State is establishing Free Strata to set themselves apart.
Seneath said music is what he was born to do, his first love and passion.
