Talented Sesotho rapper, Abnormal Lehlanya from Matlwangtlwang in Steynsrus, Free State, continues to produce hit music. He is back with a new ten-track album, “Dear Ditsebe, Are You Listening” (DEDI).
He is signed to Soul-K Records, a powerful recording label in Kroonstad, Free State. Abnormal Lehlanya is hailed as talented, and unique and utilizes his musical gift and poetry using his mother tongue of Sesotho.
By naming his album DEDI (Dear Ditsebe, Are You Listening”, the artist aims to get people to relate, listen, and enjoy the album. It is an invitation from Abnormal Lehlanya for every single ear to listen and witness his gift.
On the album, he mostly worked with his fellow artists from SoulK Records. The album starts with the song“Ore utlwe”, a prayer to God from troubled souls in the universe. It addresses poverty, depression, stability, and gender-based violence.

On the song, Lehlanya features Princess Kasumi, Khulumthii, 9Four Dagger, and Jamal Blaq. Jamal Blaq closes the song with a prayer honouring the memory of Nonki Smous and all members of the LGBTQI community who have been victims of mutilation and death.
Fahleo Tsa Mandela featuring 9Four Dagger talks about the light of the ancestors and making money in the process. Sedi laka (my light) emphasizes that God is the way, the light, and life. With God by your side, you can conquer any obstacle.
Boikgantsho is the fourth song on the album talking about pride and it was co-produced by Seun Lebina and features Khulumthii. The song encourages humanity to embrace their flaws and struggles because they can lead them to their destiny in terms of becoming the people they were meant to be.
It’s NOT Up To Us featuring Hooksman is based on simplicity and everything happening for a reason, whether good or bad. Sefako featuring Khulumthii is about standing up and working hard to become successful. Boleng is another song that people will enjoy as Abnormal Lehlanya explains his worth as a unique talented artist.
Ke batlile ke wela which has an animated music video talks about a court case where Abnormal Lehlanya is wrongly taken to court for not maintaining a child he claims is not his.
Tsebiso is a friendly notice that the soldiers of SoulK Records have assembled and with Abnormal Lehlanya leading the army, nothing will stand in their way. The song is a notice that winners are coming.
Big Tingz is the closing song on the album and is a blend of Afro-pop and Sesotho music. Princess Kasumi is featured on Big Tingz (Big Things).
