Bloemfontein MC and rapper, Stanza, has kicked off the rollout of his anticipated album “Manga Rap,” showcasing a sound that reflects the diverse cultures of his city.
As part of his preparations, he released a single titled “Puo Phara,” accompanied by a captivating music video shot in Bloemfontein. The track features top Free State hip hop artists, including Ray DeNegro and the Virginia-born rapper, YSO.
In his project, Stanza embraces a street hip hop sound, collaborating with notable talents like Nayshen and the skilled Buss P. “Manga Rap” will be available on all major streaming platforms, and you can catch the music video for “Puo Phara” on the AW Media YouTube channel.
Stanza emphasizes that “Manga Rap” represents the 051 area, incorporating Bloemfontein’s unique vernacular.

“I chose this route because I realized that in the 051, the venec style is often uniform, appealing mostly to rappers. I wanted to create a version that resonates with both rappers and everyday Bloemfontein citizens. Using Bloemfontein Taal is essential; our Siwelele people deserve a sound they can connect with,” he explained.
Fans can look forward to “Manga Rap,” expected to drop in January 2026.
