Budding Botshabelo actor, Thabang Nkotoane, is thrilled after making his acting debut on the hit Showmax telenovela, “The Outlaws.”
Currently airing its second season on Showmax and Mzansi Magic, Thabang plays the role of Mosa’s follower, appearing from the first episode until the last. Self-taught in comedy, acting, and digital creation, Thabang loves to tell stories through various visual mediums.
His journey has not been easy, but his experiences on “The Outlaws” have provided him with significant exposure, helping him gain new fans as a content creator.
“I am grateful for the support I’ve been getting from people in my hood. I aim to inspire those who want to start their journeys but feel uncertain about their futures. It seemed impossible to land this role coming from a disadvantaged background. I almost missed the shoot due to financial reasons and faced challenges finding a place to stay in Johannesburg, but I managed to make a plan,” he shared.
Thabang feels privileged to be part of such a major production. He began his acting career by recording videos on his phone and posting them on YouTube, and now he finds himself part of one of the biggest telenovelas in Mzansi. He credits Moeketsi “Tupac Wa Bantwana” Mphunye for guiding him to the auditions for the show.
