Relebohile Mallane, a businesswoman from Welkom, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Business Woman of the Year Award at the recent Gold FM Golden Globes. As the founder of Minute Massage Sessions in Riebeeckstad and a qualified Therapeutic Aromatherapist, Relebohile’s journey began in 2020, with her business officially registered in 2021. Her vision was to deliver clinical excellence and promote ‘Ubuntu-led’ wellness throughout the Free State.
Relebohile’s motivation for entering the awards was to demonstrate that local, female-led businesses can thrive at a professional level. Her recognition as Business Woman of the Year 2026, along with being named the 1st Runner Up for Business of the Year, validates her hard work and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in her practice over the past six years.
This accolade has also paved the way for an exciting opportunity: Relebohile has been selected for the prestigious SHE-EO Leadership Bootcamp in Mauritius, scheduled for October 2026. This summit is aimed at empowering women leaders, and Relebohile expresses her desire to return with global insights to mentor young entrepreneurs in Welkom and across the Free State.
To attend the bootcamp, however, Relebohile needs to raise R60,000 to cover costs including registration, flights, and accommodation. So far, she has managed to raise R3,000 and has launched a Backabuddy campaign, seeking private sponsors for assistance.
