Khaki’105, whose real name is Tshepo Moeketsi, hails from Botshabelo, Free State. His journey in music began in 2021 when he started as a hip-hop artist, but by 2022, he found his passion in the amapiano genre and transitioned into a DJ. Khaki’105 is not just a musician; he’s also a music producer and graphic designer.
Tshepo was born with a condition known as “macroglossia,” often referred to as a giant tongue, which is more common in children than adults. This led him to undergo treatments at Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein during his primary school days in 2013. His condition concerned his teachers, especially regarding his academic performance. Despite being absent from school for more than two weeks at a time for treatments, Tshepo persisted with his studies.
Tshepo began his education at Sankatane Primary School in Botshabelo and later attended Kgauho Secondary School, where his interest in music truly blossomed.

Khaki’s first recorded song, “January,” featured Villain Versace, now known as Casso1166. The track was a cover of “Culture Vulture” by 25k. He co-founded a label, “Villaintic Records,” with friends, though it remains unregistered.
Following the label’s split in 2024, Tshepo now owns it independently. His first EP, “Rules Of Bique,” has garnered over 10,000 streams on Audiomack. He went on to release a second EP titled “Department Of Piano” in collaboration with Unclee Peey, which includes three songs, and a third EP, “Slowly Elevating,” with five tracks, currently available on YouTube.
Khaki is working on a new EP titled “Turning Point,” which will be released on all digital streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
This upcoming project features collaborations with Unclee Peey, Traylow626, W4VE66, and Master Nufftally, who has a single with S’nazo. Additionally, Khaki is featured on Shapza Official’s album alongside Sobhuza RSA, both of whom are collaborating with Dereal Bonile & Jayy Scott.
“The biggest lesson I’ve learnt is to stay patient and never give up. Good things take time, and hard work pays off if you stay focused and believe in yourself,” said the artist advising budding musicians.
