Bloemfontein teenagers Thabo Moalosi, Keabetswe Apools, and Kgauhelo Majaooetsa have come together to form Biotic Kasi Production, a creative endeavor rooted in vision, passion, and purpose. This trio of co-founders is dedicated to harnessing the untapped talent within their city and providing a platform for local creatives.
Focused on film production, Biotic Kasi aims to change lives through creativity while simultaneously building opportunities for aspiring artists. Thabo Moalosi highlighted the plight of many young creatives in Bloemfontein, stating that “too many are waiting for a platform—musicians without studios, actors lacking cameras, and storytellers in need of support.” Recognizing this gap, they set out to become the bridge for these talents.
The production prioritizes developing powerful music and producing impactful films that tell authentic stories. Their mission includes discovering and nurturing local talent, ultimately creating real job opportunities within the creative industry. The founders firmly believe that talent should not go unnoticed due to a lack of exposure and that dreams should not perish for want of opportunity.
“Our vision is to put Bloemfontein on the map as a creative hub,” they said. “We’ve noticed many people rushing to Johannesburg for opportunities, but we want to elevate Bloemfontein not just nationally, but globally. We are determined to build a legacy that inspires the next generation to recognize the value of their talent.”
