The Free State Province is filled with talented and passionate individuals who work hard to achieve their goals. Though the province, located at the center of the country, may not offer abundant opportunities for growth and success, its residents are dedicated to realizing their aspirations through hard work, passion, and commitment.
In this spirit, Free State World has launched the Free State World Special Awards, which recognize two recipients each month. This initiative, created by the Free State World Online Newspaper, aims to reward excellence demonstrated through hard work, passion, and dedication, while also inspiring and motivating Free State residents to pursue their dreams and uplift their communities.
Unlike Free State World Game Changers of the Week, which honors excellence across various fields, the Free State World Special Awards specifically acknowledge hard work, dedication, and passion. These awards are open to all residents of the Free State and anyone originally from the province, regardless of their current location in the country.
The inaugural recipient of the Free State World Special Award for September 2025 is Boipelo Geld. From practicing mock TV presentations in her mother’s kitchen to achieving her dream of becoming a TV presenter and hosting her own show on MpumaKapa TV, Boipelo has demonstrated that passion and hard work truly pay off.
Her show, “Vibe with Boipelo Geld,” airs on Fridays and Saturdays on MpumaKapa TV, Channel 260 on DSTV. Boipelo not only produces and directs her show but also travels across the country to bring engaging content that includes entertainment, religion, and sports, among other topics.
Hailing from Thaba Nchu, Boipelo is one of the few TV presenters from her area who did not give up on her dream of appearing on television. She relentlessly pursued her goal until it became a reality.
Boipelo’s journey serves as a testament to the fruits that passion and dedication can yield.
“I am very excited, and this is indeed a special moment for me to receive this accolade from Free State World. I would like to thank Free State World for recognizing me with this award. My journey hasn’t been easy; starting over to pursue my dreams presented challenges, but my passion has helped me persevere. I want to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged me to keep pursuing my dream of becoming a well-known TV presenter,” said Boipelo.
She expressed her ongoing commitment to her dreams and satisfaction with her growth thus far.
