Meet Nthabiseng Matjelo, a 19 year-old member of the Tshireletsa Bana Foundation who is also young creative from Clarens.
She is an artist who expresses herself through painting. According to Nthabiseng, she is passionate about art because it has the power to evoke emotions and helps her to think creatively.
She believed art has the ability to inspire change. Furthermore, she believes art provides a platform for self-expression, allowing individuals to communicate their innermost thoughts and feelings.

Nthabiseng started painting when she was in grade three, inspired by her father who was an artist. She says she always used to watch her father draw and paint, and that’s where her interest in painting grew.
This aspiring artist says she gets her motivation from her parents, her friend Musa and her mentor, Lomile Mokoena.

Ntabiseng’s wish is to pursue a career in fine arts. She is currently taking a gap year due to unforseen circumstances, however, she wishes to study at an art institution next year to develop her talent and skill as a painter.
