The Mmabana Arts and Culture Centre in Thaba Nchu, Free State, came alive during the vibrant Heritage Month celebration held on Friday, September 26. The ambiance was filled with traditional music as attendees donned their beautiful cultural attire, ready to honor and showcase their diverse backgrounds.
The event highlighted the centre’s Heritage Activation programme, which promotes development through various forms of artistic expression, including poetry, dance, arts and crafts, traditional music, and visual exhibitions.
Prominent officials from the Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture, and Recreation, such as Mr. Barry Swanepoel, Mr. Goitsimang Pholo, and Mpho Mogaecho-Molete, were present to support the festivities.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Dineo tsa Setswana Cultural Group, which entertained the audience with captivating performances, ensuring everyone had a joyful experience.
As the day progressed, attendees enjoyed a feast of delicious traditional dishes, mingled, and shared plenty of laughter. The event concluded on a high note, marking a successful celebration of culture and heritage.
