Nalane Yaka, a non-profit organization based in Bultfontein, Free State, is seeking donations to support its mission. The organization focuses on empowering young people, providing them with a platform to excel, showcase their artistic talents, and prioritize education.
Nalane Yaka has achieved significant recognition, having been awarded as the best community organization at the Umusa Awards ceremony in Durban, KZN. One talented artist from Nalane Yaka not only competed in the regional round of the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Poetry Competition but also progressed to the finals held in Pretoria during their seventh grade.
The organization continues to nurture talent and keep the youth of Bultfontein engaged and off the streets. Currently, Nalane Yaka is requesting donations of educational resources, including dictionaries, calculators, costumes, and diaries.

These items will greatly assist students with their homework and assignments. The contributions will help enhance education and literacy, foster creativity and critical thinking, bridge resource gaps in underfunded communities, encourage community engagement, and empower students to succeed academically while building their confidence.

Additionally, these donations will support the Nalane Yaka Book Club, one of the organization’s programs aimed at promoting literacy and instilling a love for reading.
Those interested in donating can contact Nalane Yaka’s Managing Director, Lydia Letuka, at 074 374 6505.
