Six learners from Sentinel Primary School will be taking part in the World Robotics Olympiads in Singapore from the 26th-28th November in the Future Innovators category.

The learners will depart from the OR Tambo International airport on Monday 24 November.

Two of them, Mosa Motsoeneng and Molokeng Makgohlo came third at the Eskom International Science Fair competition which was held at Emperors Palace in September.

Motsoeneng 12, from Chris Hani Park in QwaQwa, said she was grateful to be representing South Africa at a prestigious competition and promised to work hard to make the country, and  her parents, proud.

“I am happy and proud that I am going to be representing our country at World Robotics Olympiads and hopefully, we will bring medals home.” said the 12 year-old Grade 7 learner.

“I am looking forward to the competition and I hope that we will do well. It is a great opportunity for us and I am very happy that I am going to be a part of such a big competition,” Makgohlo said.
