Tshedimosetso FM has officially launched in Thaba Nchu, unveiling its name and tagline on Friday, October 3rd, at an event held in Selosesha. The ceremony featured representatives from the Barolong Boo Seleka Nation, with Princess Omphile Moroka delivering a keynote message on behalf of Kgosi Gaboilelwe Moroka, who expressed her congratulations and support for the new community radio station.
Thapelo Mareka, a representative of Tshedimosetso FM, emphasized the station’s commitment to being the voice of Thaba Nchu, providing vital information and resources for the community. He encouraged local business owners to partner with the station to help establish and grow its presence in the area.
An ICASA representative was present at the event, offering messages of encouragement, while the founders and board members of the station were introduced to the attendees. The gathering also included representatives from Mmabana Cultural Centre, church leaders, and local youth music groups.
Tshedimosetso FM aims to serve the community by informing and educating listeners on various matters, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of the residents of Thaba Nchu.
