Tshidiso is passionate about Visual Arts

Botshabelo-based visual artist Tshidiso Botsane is using visual art to express himself and to inspire others. His pencil portrait artworks are a hit with people and earns him a living.

Tshidiso’s brother Pheko inspired him to be a visual artist as he visited him when he was younger and saw his brother making portraits. This stimulated interest in Tshidiso to follow in his brother’s footsteps.

Tshidiso charges R500 for an A1 size portraint, R2000 for an A2 size portrait, R900 for an A3 size, and R600 for an A4 sized artwork. All his works are framed and delivered free of charge. He uses social media to market his work.

The time it takes Tshidiso to finish an artwork depends on the details which need to be put in and size of the artwork. It can take him as little as 2 hours to between 3-4 weeks to finish some works.

Tshidiso is a self-taught visual artist who polished his artistic skills at Motheo TVET College.
