Talented 23-year-old rapper 9-Four Dagger from Masilo in Theunissen in the Free State has documented Kasi Life in his brand new EP titled Life of Kasi.
Music has always been an integral part of Dagger’s life. He started pursuing music back in high school and has never looked back.
He initially started as a dancer and his passion for music was too strong to ignore he pursued it fully and earned himself a loyal fan base in the process.
When on stage, 9-Four Dagger mesmerizes the audience with his electrifying performances. His style of rap is more of storytelling, in his music Dagger explores subjects such as township life, impacts of poverty, social matters, crime, and hustling.
In 2022, Dagger teamed up with SoulK Records in Kroonstad where he worked with talented super producer Henecbeatz, together with 1040 crew from Theunissen.
Dagger is signed to SoulK who produced his Life of Kasi EP which is released officially on 5 April 2024. The project is wholly produced by Henecbeatz and features 6 hard-hitting songs with an influence of kasi and Koriana.
He worked with artists such as Princess Kasumi, Jamal Blaq, Pronto VTR, Quatro Czn, LosYung Saint, and Beaz 98-99. The music video for the leading single from the EP Life of Kasi is available on YouTube.
Life of Kasi EP is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all digital streaming platforms. 9-Four Dagger aims to inspire township youth and make them believe that their dreams are valid.
