Re Phethile Art Production from Bethlehem represented Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality with pride at the Dramatist against GBV Drama Festival and Beauty of Our Communities Art and Crafts Exhibitions Development Program that was hosted by the Free State Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation from the 5th to 7th March 2026.
The team, consisting of Mbalenhle Zondo, Mlungisi Zim, and Tumelo Nhlapo, showcased their theatrical play “Bleeding Hands of Ebonies” at Mmabana Arts and Culture Centre in Thaba Nchu.
Selected from 5 districts in Free State, Re Phethile Art Production proved their commitment to promoting arts in their community.
Production Director Lekgutsa Mbele expressed gratitude to the Free State Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation for the opportunity.

“We are dedicated to promoting arts and ensuring our members shine in the industry,” said Mbele.
The team’s unity and dedication paid off, making their district proud. Phethile Art Production received accolades for their outstanding performance. Their play, “Bleeding Hands of Ebonies”, tackled tough issues like GBV, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.

Re Phethile Art Production is already planning new projects, including a potential TV series and workshops to mentor young artists.
“We’re just getting started. Our goal is to put Thabo Mofutsanyana on the map as a hub for arts and culture,” said Mbele.
