Dreams delayed are not dreams denied, and this became evident with budding TV presenter Boipelo Geld who is living her dream of being a TV Presenter.
She used to share mock-up TV presenting videos on her Facebook page, earning praise for her talent and today, she has her own TV show !!
Boipelo from Thaba Nchu in the Free State hosts Vibe with Boipelo Geld on MpumaKapa TV (DSTV Channel 260) which airs on Fridays at 20:30 and Saturdays at 19:00 and repeated on Tuesdays at 21:00.
Boipelo’s love for presenting began back at Selosesha Primary School at an early age. She used to watch TV shows such as YO-TV and would mimic presenters and present for her family.
She did not give up on her dreams and despite coming from a rural town such as Thaba Nchu with limited opportunities, Boipelo pursued her TV presenting passion and landed her first TV Presenting job with One Free State Televisual when it aired on StarSat.
In 2023 she joined Mpumakapa TV where she hosts her own entertainment show, Vibe with Boipleo Geld. Since Boipelo is in the entertainment industry, she does a lot of research checking out what’s new, trends, news, and anything entertainment-related.
“I really adore Carol Tshabalala, she has paved the way for many female sports Presenters as the first lady of sport in SA and has set the bar so high. My show is an Entertainment Show which entails covering exceptional events in SA featuring TV Stars. The mandate of the show is to bring Entertainment and captivate my audience with the latest happenings in Mzansi at the comfort of their homes.” Said Boipelo.
Being on TV has made Boipelo influencial and inspired youth in her community. The Love and support pour in torrent and has motivated her to keep aiming high.
Prayer, working hard and passion are what keep the beautiful presenter going. Since being a presenter, she has acquired other TV production skills such as producing, researching, scheduling, and preparation.
“I am learning every day and growing in my TV presenting passion. My dream is to one day host an entertainment show on channels such as BET Africa.” Boipelo explained.
