Free State World recently celebrated its 6th anniversary at Oh-Lala Pub and Grill in Thaba Nchu on July 18.
The event was a grand affair, marking six years of the newspaper’s commitment to showcasing the talent and stories of the Free State community. Guests arrived dressed in their finest attire, adding a touch of elegance to the celebration, which also highlighted the paper’s history and vision for the future.
The venue was beautifully decorated by Kelly Seameco-Madikgetla, transforming it into a stunning space for the festivities. Pastors TD Masekwa, Thusho Ntono, and Evangelist Moses Mohlakwana expressed their gratitude for the dedication of Free State World, offering heartfelt blessings for its continued success.
Michael Tamelinth, a journalist with the newspaper, shared his pride in working for a publication that prioritizes the Free State community and highlights stories from even the most remote areas of the province. He emphasized the significance of their special awards and recognition programs, like the Game Changers of the Week and the Year, as evidence of the newspaper’s commitment to the people of the Free State.
Portia Moleme, the editor, acknowledged that the newspaper’s success is rooted in the unwavering support from its readers and followers. She emphasized the vital role they play in the paper’s journey over the past six years, stating, “Without God, there is no Free State World,” and expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported them along the way.
The celebration concluded with delicious cake to commemorate the occasion and certificates awarded to the special team behind Free State World, recognizing their efforts and dedication.
