Youth Against Crime, Sex and Drug Abuse (NPO 184-369) launched its inaugural annual early childhood development athletics competition on 30 January. This initiative aims to introduce children aged 4-6 years to formal sports while teaching them about the dangers of drug use and criminal behavior to help prevent future exposure to these issues.
The event saw participation from 26 early childhood development centers in the Maluti A Phofung (Thabo Mofutsanyane district), all of which committed to registering for the competition by March 6, 2026.
As part of the registration process, each ECD is required to contribute one packet of school shoes and two packets of sanitary towels. These items will be donated post-competition to two beneficiary schools: ZR Mahabane Primary School in Lusaka village and Naka Primary School in Monontsha village.

The organizing team, consisting of Fikile Nhlapo (Director), Tshepang Tsoeali (Administrator), and Judy Tsoeu (Media Support), expressed their gratitude to the ECD matrons and stakeholders who participated in the event. They are excited about the upcoming athletics competition scheduled for 25 March 2026.
The team encourages community members across South Africa to support this initiative by donating school shoes and sanitary towels. Their contributions will help ensure that more children receive the support they need and that young girls can attend school in peace.
