Palesa reveals that her passion for business has deep roots, stemming from her childhood. Her mother would buy her makeup products, leading her to experiment and beautify her sisters from a young age, especially for pageants in which she participated. This early exposure ignited a lifelong love for beauty and entrepreneurship.
Choosing her passion for business over a legal career was a pivotal moment for Palesa. She aspired for financial independence and leadership, and once immersed in the world of business, she discovered that success was attainable. Starting her career as a makeup artist with just one client, she eventually built a thriving clientele.
For Palesa, running a business is more than a means to an end; it serves as a therapeutic outlet, allowing her to connect with clients and support them through conversations and motivation.
However, the path has not been without challenges. Palesa had to educate herself on the intricacies of running a business, from applying for funding to constantly learning about industry dynamics. Her hard work has paid off; she has achieved significant milestones, winning awards and earning recognition from various institutions. “I feel very honored; it shows that I am not just a beautician but a vital part of society,” she expressed.
With a team of seven employees, Palesa is committed to uplifting others. She offers valuable advice to aspiring businesswomen: assess where you want your business to go, analyze competitors, lead by example, seize opportunities, and, importantly, share those opportunities with others.
“Starting a business is not always easy. It takes hard work,” she stated, inspiring others to follow their entrepreneurial dreams.
