The Free State is celebrating as Palesa van Rooyen from Hobhouse earns a coveted spot in the Miss South Africa 2026 Top 19.
The 27-year-old medical doctor advanced from the Top 24 following an intensive selection process, bringing her one step closer to the coveted Miss South Africa crown.
Palesa is passionate about child health, safety, nutrition and early childhood development. She hopes to use her platform to advocate for stronger support systems that protect children, particularly those in underserved communities.
Her achievement has placed the Free State firmly on the national Miss SA stage, with supporters now rallying behind the young doctor as she continues her journey towards the crown.
