E-hailing company operating across South Africa, Maxim donated much needed clothing essentials, educational supplies and toys to children at Morning Star @ Living Hope in Welkom during a community charity drive held on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
Led by Welkom region Maxim Representative Dineo Tlhakanyane, the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves beyond providing transport services. The donation included stationery, puzzles, soccer balls, skipping ropes, nappies, socks, underwear and dolls, helping to meet the children’s everyday needs while encouraging learning, development and play.
Representatives from Maxim and the community spent the morning engaging with the children, handing over the donations and interacting with staff at the centre. The event also recognised the ongoing work of Morning Star @ Living Hope, which provides care and support to vulnerable children in the Welkom community.
Speaking during the handover, Dineo Tlhakanyane, Maxim Representative in Welkom, said community support remains an important part of the company’s values.
