Five women from Thaba Nchu and Botshabelo were awarded certificates after undergoing experiential training at PalesaEntle Beauty Spa in Thaba Nchu, Free State.
The ladies received experiential training on makeup, Aesthetics and beauty, wig washing, and more. Palesa Ratolo (PalesaEntle Isaacs) said the ladies spent ten days which consisted of theory and practical learning.
Two of the women are Motheo TVET artisan students and three are those Palesa is helping gain skills that will help them be self-sustainable and be able to create their businesses.
The women were taken through the process of operating a business, how to deal with clients, and got an opportunity to work on clients and deal with the pressure that comes with clientele.
“The certificates will help them when they apply or open their businesses, as it will be proof of their training and I can be contacted as a reference. This is giving back to the community” said PalesaEntle.
She added that the training undertaken by the ladies at her business has shown her that she can be of help to other people and give back to the community while opening doors for others to fully experience the beauty industry.
Mamonehela “Nelly” Sehlola, a student who partook in the training from Botshabelo was grateful for the opportunity she was granted and the new skills she acquired.
She received skills in Microblading(permanent eyebrow shaping.) Nelly said she will use her newly acquired skills to open her own business.
Boipelo Mabuya, a student of Motheo TVET College said she is learning a lot as a Beauty Tech student and plans to also open her business.
“I loved makeup since a young age and I decided to study beauty because it’s something that I love with all my heart and my sister encouraged me to study. Thank you Palesa.” Said Boipelo.
Boitumelo Moshotle is another student who is grateful for learning about weave cleaning and taking care of weaves and aims to learn more. She credited PalesaEntle for taking her under her wing and teaching her about the beauty industry.
