Rising Pool Champion Katlego Nkosi, a 16-year-old from Bergman Square in Bloemfontein, is on the brink of an exciting opportunity as he prepares to represent South Africa in the international arena. Having started his journey playing pool at just 7 years old, Katlego was inspired by his parents, who owned a pool team named “Bring It Home.”
Recently, he showcased his talent at the Blackball South Africa competition in Durban, where he not only ranked first in the Free State but also placed fourth in the national U/18 category.
His impressive performance earned him a qualification to compete at the 2026 WPA Blackball World Championship scheduled to take place in London from October 20 to 28.

However, to make this dream a reality, Katlego needs to raise R50,000 to cover the expenses associated with the trip. This includes R40,000 for travel, accommodation, subsistence, and entry fees, as well as R10,000 for food, a visa, and other miscellaneous costs.
Katlego is reaching out to the community for support and sponsorships to help him achieve his goal. Anyone interested in assisting this talented young athlete can reach him at 071 906 2131 or via email at Katlehotsepishonkosi@gmail.com.
Your help can make a significant difference in Katlego’s life and represent South Africa on an international stage!
