Botshabelo actor Teboho Lekhasi has landed a role on the popular soap opera Skeem Saam. In the show, a new character named Felix Gopane, played by the talented Warren Masemola, is creating chaos in Turfloop, wielding a panga and hammer, causing fear among the townspeople.
Lekhasi portrays Toto Gopane, Felix’s uncle, who attempts to guide him back to his senses. Originally from Botshabelo in Free State, Lekhasi has always had a passion for radio and television.

He began his journey by writing and performing poetry on Mosupatsela FM, a local radio station, and has also presented programs on Soshanguve FM and Moretele FM. His experience includes working with Limpopo TV and One Free State Televisual before he moved to Johannesburg, where he joined a Netflix production.
Describing his character, Lekhasi sees Toto as a guiding figure for Felix and Sister Mokarati, embodying the voice of reason and striving to maintain order within the family.
He emphasized the significance of thorough research and rehearsal in preparing for a role, ensuring a deep understanding of the character.
Lekhasi expresses gratitude to his mentors, Warren Masemola and Tebogo Hendricks (Alfios), who have inspired him with their dedication to acting.

He shared, “I am grateful to the Skeem Saam production team, directors, and the friendly actors for featuring me this season. I am truly humbled and living my dream. Sharing the set with renowned actors marks the beginning of my journey in the film industry. Skeem Saam has truly changed my life.” Lekhasi echoed.
