The Chester Pudumo Youth Development Organization (CPYDO), in collaboration with Nvuyo Matsotso, successfully hosted the CPYDO Top 16 Under-15 Soccer Tournament, which kicked off on August 8, 2025, culminating in an exciting final on August 15.
This tournament united young footballers from various parts of the region, providing them with a valuable opportunity to showcase their skills, enhance their game, and compete in a well-structured youth football setting.
A total of fourteen teams participated, including Blue Nation, Blue Birds, Nairobi Sporting Club, Mercurial, Vaal Monate, Ama2k, Botshabelo Sports Academy, WamoTseba Motho Oo, ProMates, Bravo, Samba, Movers, Hot Lovers, and United Saints.
In a thrilling finale, Samba FC emerged as champions, while WamoTseba Motho Oo secured the runner-up position. United Saints claimed third place, and ProMates rounded out the top four.
Beyond mere competition, the tournament emphasized youth development, talent scouting, discipline, teamwork, and creating opportunities for young athletes.
The overwhelming success of the event highlights the positive impact that community engagement can have when it comes to investing in young people’s futures through sports. CPYDO remains dedicated to using football as a platform to nurture talent and open doors for youth development.
