Entries for the 2024 Face of Plus Size Free State are now open and the actual pageant will be held in Kroonstad, in the Free State.
The pageant is open to plus-size ladies. The organizers said with the pageant, they are trying to change the narrative of people who assume that modeling is only for skinny people.
The 2023 edition was the first one and was held in Welkom in September. The pageant is held by Rose’s Plus Size Corner owned by Rose Ntombi Matsoake.
Rose stated that with the pageant being in its sophomore year, she wants to show the world that plus-size beauty pageants can help instill confidence and pride in plus-size women while appreciating their beauty.
