The Sunday Soul Session held on Sunday, 22 September in Thaba Nchu, Free State was a success and lived up to expectations. The theme was all white and the people in attendance stuck to the theme and dressed to kill.
Despite the sound not being audible enough, the event attracted hundreds of people from across Mangaung, who descended to Sthiba to have a good time.
The event featured popular soul deejays such as Skuzabel, DJ Young, Thabang Morobane, and many more. There were also performances from Gontse wa Rona, Cfikulture, Star Chalale, and DJ Hlethe who closed the show.
Thabang Morobane and fan favourite Skuzabel had the audience eating from the palms of their hands as they played popular songs loved by people.
DJ Young who was headlining the event had the ladies screaming his name and going crazy during his performance. His signature move of singing along to the song while playing them drove the audience crazy as they loved every minute of it and also sang along.
Through his entire hour performance, smartphones captured every movement of Young’s performance, demonstrating the love he was getting from his fans.
On the other hand, Gontse wa Rona kept the audience entertained as he sang renditions of popular songs with his friend whose name slipped us. Gontse’s energy is what the audience was looking for as he kept them on their toes the entire performance.
Star Chalale and DJ Hlethe closed the show on a high note while Cfikulture’s talent warned up those who attended during his performance.
