Ladybrand will once again be represented on the biggest provincial festival stage, the MACUFE stage, as one of its sons, Majasto, real name Thabang Mokheseng Mojalefa, is included in the 2026 edition of Macufe, set for September 3-13.
Majasto is set to serenade the audience with his talent during the Macufe Hip Hop show, marking his first time ascending the Macufe stage—a dream that has finally come true for him. He expressed his feelings of pride and gratitude for being included in the Macufe 2026 edition, thanking the organizers for making this dream a reality and sharing his excitement.
“I feel blessed and proud. Macufe is home for Free State artists. To be on a stage that celebrates our culture and talent means a lot. It reminds me why I started music,” he shared.
Majasto emphasized that this opportunity signifies validation, exposure, and growth for him as an artist. He sees it as a chance for his work to be recognized beyond Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo, Ladybrand, Clocolan, Bloemfontein, and other towns, stating that he is ready to represent the Free State, connect with new fans, and demonstrate his abilities on a large platform.
With over ten years of experience in the music industry, having started around 2003/4, Majasto is a Sesotho Hip Hop artist, producer, MC, and musician.
Looking forward to his Macufe performance, he promised the audience can expect energy, authenticity, and unique Free State flavor. He will showcase music from his impressive catalog, as well as new unreleased singles, vowing a powerful live performance full of heart.
“I love that music heals and unites us. When someone sings your lyrics back or tells you your song helped them through something, that’s everything. I also love creating—turning ideas into songs that represent our people,” Majasto shared.
