Twenty-three-year-old barber Bokamoso Lebusho from Botshabelo is bringing smiles to boys by offering free haircuts. Bokamoso provides haircuts to learners at Ntemoseng High School in Botshabelo.
He believes that the focus on the girl child has overshadowed the needs of boys, and he wants to ensure that the boy child is also supported. Once a week, he cuts hair for ten learners in sessions that last three and a half hours.
By offering these free haircuts, Bokamoso aims to boost the self-confidence of the boys at school. Many of these learners struggle to afford haircuts due to their family backgrounds. He understands that a fresh haircut can inspire confidence and elevate a person’s mood.

Additionally, Bokamoso is against bullying and organizes workshops and sessions to raise awareness about its impact. The purpose of the haircuts is not just to make the boys look good, but also to ensure they are respected by their peers and to show that someone cares for and loves them.

He provides his services after school hours, coordinating with the school in advance. Currently, Bokamoso works with Ntemoseng High School and is also reaching out to other schools while awaiting their feedback. He credits his brother, Mojela Lebusho, for teaching him the art of cutting hair.
