Members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) gathered at De Brug in Bloemfontein to commemorate the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, honouring the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of peacekeepers serving across the globe.
The ceremony paid tribute to men and women who continue to uphold peace, stability, and humanitarian values in conflict-affected regions under the United Nations banner.
Military officials reflected on the vital role played by South African peacekeepers in promoting global peace and security while remembering those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The event also highlighted the SANDF’s ongoing commitment to international peacekeeping missions and strengthening cooperation in pursuit of a safer and more peaceful world.
